Answers for callers. Looking for the talker FAQ?
Select a question to read the answer.
Are Calls recorded?
Calls are recorded for you to buy and replay only when both you and the Talker allow recording. You can allow recording in three places:
Via The “Service Status” Drop Down
Click the account icon in the top navigation bar (on mobile, choose “Toggle Availability” in the Menu) and switch “Record Calls” to “On.”
Via “My Account Settings”
Select “My Account Settings” in the Menu and set the Status in the “Recordings” section to “Enabled.” The change is saved as soon as you choose it.
In The Call Window
Before you connect a call, tick “Record this Session” in the call window.
This feature allows you to purchase and listen to the Call as often as you like. But one note: both you and the Talker must allow recording for the Call to be recorded. Talkers can choose to turn recording off for their calls, and the call window tells you when a Talker does not allow recordings. Only calls you start from the website can be recorded.
When a call is not recorded for purchase, its audio (and video) is kept only temporarily for internal review under our Terms of Service, and it is never publicly accessible.
Are my calls private? Are they monitored?
Phone calls are not monitored live. Nobody from Cougars.com listens in on your calls.
Calls are reviewed afterwards by our own software to make sure they follow our Terms of Service. That review includes the text of the call: we check it for personal contact information and payment details, which may never be shared between callers and Talkers. This protects you as much as the Talker. For that review, call audio is stored only temporarily, and it is never publicly accessible.
Video calls are different. A live video call can be monitored in real time, and a video call that breaks our Terms of Service can be ended.
Can I get a refund if I’m unhappy with a call?
If you are unhappy with a call or anything else you paid for on Cougars.com, report the transaction to Customer Support using the Contact Us form. Customer Support reviews the call or service and decides whether a refund can be given.
What if my call drops? Will I be charged?
If a call drops and you are charged for it, report it to Customer Support using the Contact Us form. We will investigate and, where it's warranted, refund the charge to your wallet.
Not every dropped call needs a refund. If you can simply call back to finish the conversation, and the call wasn't a flat-rate package or still within its first minimum minutes, you were only charged for the minutes you actually talked.
How do I delete my account?
Email Customer Support at support@cougars.com, or use the Contact Us form, and ask for your account to be deleted.
Do Talkers see my personal phone number when I dial the service?
No, a Talker will never see your personal number.
When using our service they will see 1-800-COUGARS (1-800-268-4277), the same as the number you see when you connect with them.
Do you have an affiliate/referral program?
Callers Make Money with Cougars.com!

Option 1: We Call Your Phone

- Select which Talker option you want to use. For example, a Per Minute Rate or a Flat Rate Package call.
- Select to change your phone number or add a new phone number to receive the call.
- Select if you want to pay with funds from your Wallet, your saved credit card, or Wallet and saved credit card.

If the Talker is busy, you can choose a time and click “Request Callback” instead.
Option 2: Dial In Yourself
If you would prefer to call into our system, choose “Let Me Dial In” (or “Show Me Dial-In Information”). The call window shows the number to dial and the PIN or account details to enter when you are asked.
How do I purchase a Photo Gallery?
Many Talkers provide Photo Galleries you can purchase to enjoy at your leisure.
Open the Talker’s Profile and go to the “Products” section, where you can filter by type. Each item shows its price.
Select an item to open the confirmation window, then click “Confirm Purchase.” The cost is deducted from your Wallet. If your balance is too low, use “Add Money” in the same window. Items you have bought are marked “Purchased.”
How do I purchase a Recording?
Enjoy your previous premium experiences again and again!
The pricing for recorded calls is 25% of the total amount of the original call. There is a $3.99 minimum, and the maximum rate is $19.99.
To purchase a recording, select “My Recordings” from the Menu to access all available recordings. Select a recording to see the details of the call and the cost of the recording, then choose to purchase it.
You will then be asked to confirm your purchase.
You can also purchase recordings from “Account History” in the Menu: recorded calls in your Wallet History have a “Purchase Recording” button.
Remember, these will only appear if both you and the Talker have the Recording feature on at the time of the Call. In addition, only calls that originate from the click-to-call box on the website will be recorded, if you place a call by dialing 1-800-COUGARS (1-800-268-4277) the call will not be recorded.

How do I Review a Talker?
Nothing confirms a Caller’s pleasure with a Talker more than feedback! Adding a review after every call helps reward good Talkers for their effort (and instructs less-than-gifted Talkers how to improve their service).
When a call or other paid service ends, the “Leave A Review” window opens so you can choose a star rating and add your review comments.
If you choose to not leave a review at that time, select “Account History” in the Menu and click the star (“Leave a Review”) next to that item. The star is only shown for 96 hours after the call.
Review rules
- You can review any paid service (phone calls, video calls, web chats and so on) within 96 hours of it ending. Missed or failed calls can't be reviewed.
- Cougars.com staff cannot write or edit reviews. A review is only removed if it shares personal information or contains extreme abuse.

How to Use Live Cams as a Caller on Cougars.com
Live cams on Cougars.com let you have a face-to-face video chat with your favorite Talkers or enjoy one-way “Voyeur” calls where they can watch you on camera but you cannot see the Talker. This type of call is great for JOI calls.

- Enable your camera and microphone when prompted if you’re joining a two-way call.
- If you have trouble with video permissions, check our browser setup guides for help.
I’ve reached my Purchasing Limit?
If you are attempting to fund your Wallet or make a purchase and see a message that you are over your spending limit, you can ask to increase what you’re able to spend!
Step 1
Click the link in that message, or go to https://stg.cougars.com/members/increase-limit/, and confirm the cardholder’s information.
Step 2
Choose the saved credit card you want to increase your limit for. As added protection, to help prevent fraudulent transactions, we place a small authorization of less than $0.50 on that card. It is voided, so it will not appear on your final credit card bill.
Step 3
Check the pending transactions on your credit card account (or call your card company) and enter the exact amount we authorized. You have about 24 hours to do this before the authorization drops off.
Step 4
Upload a picture of your credit card and of your ID. On the card, only your full name and the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card number need to be visible. The billing address on your card must match the address on your ID.
We take these precautions to ensure your safety and security while using our site!
Once these steps are done, the limits on your Cougars.com account will be increased and you will be able to continue making purchases on your account.
Please note, limits are increased per credit card. If you use more than one card, complete these steps for each card.
Need help? Please email us at support@cougars.com.
What is the difference between my Wallet History and Purchase History?
Select “Account History” from the Menu. It has two tabs:
Your “Wallet History” (the first tab) shows everything paid from your Wallet: Calls, Video Calls, Messages, Web Chats, Bonuses, Recordings and Products such as Stories, Documents, Galleries and Videos. Use the type filter to narrow the list.
Your “Purchase History” shows your credit card transactions: the money and packages you add to your Wallet, and calls billed directly to your credit card.
What Will My Credit Card Be Billed From?
Credit card purchases on Cougars.com appear on your statement as TLBILL.COM 1-800-617-1700.
Why can’t I send a Bonus?
We require that your Account be over two weeks old before you can send a Bonus.
If you have been a member longer than this and still cannot send a bonus, please contact Customer Service at support@cougars.com.
